Currently having their most prolific year to date with a slew of excellent singles under their belt, Perth rockers The Date are set to release their fourth album Premedidated this New Year’s Eve.
Having unveiled one track per month, leaving no idle time throughout the year, Premedidated continues The Date’s ethos of capturing real world issues with passion and honesty. Personal, politically outspoken and conscientious, The Date remain a band that writes what they see.
Spearheaded by vocalist/bassist David Moran and guitarist Rob Susanto, The Date have produced Premedidated between their own Dating 42 Studios and Crank Studios with engineer Troy Nababan… and the results speak for themselves. Following on from Liquidate, Candidate and Validate, title track Premedidated is a great representation of the dynamic musicianship found throughout the album.
David says of the track lyrically, “Premididated talks about holding on to love and strengthening your fortitude to ensure you’re always doing everything you can to make that love stay and to make it stronger everyday you’re with that special someone.”
As one of Perth’s most enduring bands that writes for itself but plays for its fans, The Date will cap off their busiest year yet with an album launch for Premididated at The Paddo in Mount Hawthorn December 8. More info here.
