The Little Lord Street Band have released a new video for the track “Frankies Back In Town” and have announced tour dates taking the band all around WA.
“We can’t stay away from the road, it seems! With little time to smell the roses after our Single Launch Tonight at the Bassendean Hotel (Friday 28th June – $12 pre-sale tix still avail ) we head north to Coral Bay and then Exmouth, with our fam in tow, chasing the sun and singing our hearts out. After that, we’re back in Perth supporting the awesome Skyscraper Stan (VIC) and then it’s down south before wrapping up back in Fremantle.
We were successful recipients in a DCA grant in March and were able to create a music video for ‘Frankies Back In Town’ so whilst at Nannup Music Festival we gathered some of our friends, family (Nixy and Jacko) Wado and Frankie to film down the local hotel. Lucky for us David Le May was available and at the festival over that weekend also, so with his cinematic eye and expertise we filmed on super 8, digital and drone and you can see Lucy Peach and her hubby swimming (guest starring down at the Barrabup pool). We also got some footage of the band performing at Nannup Hotel during festival times with the local community and with The Dobbins along for the ride (only the best times with our Nannup family).
We think you can feel the charm and essence in the song about ‘Frankie coming back to a small town’, which we tried to capture from this beautiful place and the life long friendships that are formed and celebrated, (again) captured in the film with all the hugging and smiles and beautiful feels that come from a small town vibe and community. We kept it in the family and worked with Elaine Smith to edit the magic we created (her mum runs the tea shop in Nannup). What a team effort, super proud and can’t wait to continue the vibes with the rest of the album. Big love and thanks to all involved.”
