These Four Walls release new single “Fire Away”, tease new LP in 2020

These Four Walls

These Four Walls, melodic-rock maestros out of South-East Queensland (but originally from New Zealand!) are today returning with their first new music in a few years! ‘Fire Away‘ signals a new era for the band, a focus on new music and taking it to the world. The new single sees the light of day this Friday November 22 in all good online outlets and streaming platforms. The single premiered on Triple M’s Hard N Heavy ‘Down Under’ show with Higgo on Tuesday night!

They will be bringing the Fire to the stage on Saturday 7th December at Brisbane’s Woolly Mammoth Mane Stage with their mates Gutterfire, with tickets available at moshtix.com.au.

The band have taken their time to craft something special – and it’s been worth the wait. Not that they’ve been dormant. It’s been a huge couple of years for Queensland based rockers These Four Walls. Following a string of shows supporting high profile international acts such as Seether, P.O.D. Fuel, Theory of a Deadman and Trapt, the band decided to spend the majority of 2019 completing their long awaited third studio album. When they shared this goal with their fans, the band was overwhelmed with the response, exceeding their album crowdfunding target in just 5 days.

The band immediately got to work at Loose Stones Studios & Studio Circuit with producer and Dead Letter Circus guitarist Luke Palmer, and veteran producer/engineer Matt Bartlem to complete the project which had begun in earnest over 5 years earlier. While recording took priority, the boys stepped out of the studio during August to support Aussie icons The Butterfly Effect on their national tour before returning to the studio to put the finishing touches on the new record.

With the new album in the final stages of production, These Four Walls are stoked to be sharing the first new track in over a year with their fans, with the album to follow in early 2020.

Vocalist Stephen Gibb says that the new single “Fire Away” lyrically “…explores the idea of apocalyptic devastation – specifically a comet hurtling towards the earth. How would we react in the face of potential annihilation? Do we unify, or turn to self-preservation? Ultimately the song is about facing down your challenges, regardless of the odds of success.”

These Four Walls’ new single ‘Fire Away’ sees its release this Friday November 22 in all good online outlets and streaming platforms – and they are celebrating it’s release with a Single Release Party at Woolly Mammoth Mane Stage on Saturday December 7th with Gutterfire – with tickets available now at moshtix.com.au.
