To Octavia announce Nocturnal EP and drop first single/video XIII

To Octavia

For the uninitiated, To Octavia is a melodic metalcore group from Melbourne, Australia, taking inspiration from modern metalcore and merging it with a variety of influences such as pop, and alternative rock. If that’s not enough for you, let’s let their music do the talking!

Today, they have a brand new EP to announce that will be released on Friday April 26 – but in the meantime, they are showing off the very first taste of that EP in their single ‘XIII‘. The EP will be available for pre-order from this Friday, March 15 HERE, and the single will be available for streaming and purchase same day on all good online stores and streaming platforms.

This brand new track (as well as the EP as a whole!) was produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Lalic of Windwaker, who moulded these new tracks into powerful, emotive songs, intended to hit hard and invoke all the feels.

Adam Kirk-Holmes, bassist/vocalist for the melodic hardcore outfit, says that XIII “…is one of our most emotional tracks. It’s a story of loss and reflection, accompanied by dynamic melodies and heavy riffs. XIII is the song that brought together all the aspects of what To Octavia was meant to be.”

The band started in mid-2018 with the release of their debut single, “After All” and have since supported artists such as Alpha Wolf, Thornhill, SECRETS (USA), Wither, Awaken I Am, BLKLST, Iconoclast, Far Away Stables and more. They are about to support The Brave and Windwaker on March 22 at The Bendigo Hotel on The Brave’s Technicolour tour.

To Octavia is comprised of Matt Ashley on Vocals, Adam Kirk-Holmes on Vocals/Bass, Justin Keurntjes and Molly Congreve on Guitars and Lucas Keurntjes on Drums – and as a group, take influence from bands such as Polaris, Northlane, Sworn In, The Plot in You and Architects.

To Octavia’s ‘Nocturnal’ EP will be released on Friday April 26 and will be available for pre-order from this Friday, March 15 HERE, and the single will be available for streaming and purchase same day on all good online stores and streaming platforms.
