Artists included John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls) and host Randy Jackson (Producer, bassist, American Idol judge), Nancy Wilson (Heart), Miljenko Matijevic (Steelheart, The Doors) Lynn Harrell (acclaimed cellist), Monte Pittman (Madonna/Prong), Alex Boye (YouTube Sensation), Chinese violinist Yutong (Pacific Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra), Marten Andersson (Steelheart, George Lynch, Lizzy Borden), Chris Broderick (Act of Defiance, Ex-Megadeth), acclaimed cellist Stan Sharp and many more.
From Classical to Rock is a concert series featuring rock-stars and classical superstars, performing with student orchestras and choirs to benefit music and performing arts education. This time, FC2R teamed up with nonprofit music school Orange County Music & Dance School, who gives talented low income, minorities a chance to be the next classical genius or the next rock star. All musicians involved with the event contribute their time, energy and musical talents in an effort to benefit performing arts in Orange County.
