Following the swag of announcements earlier this month, Brisbane’s all-female, all-screaming VOIID are backing up new single ‘Vile‘ with the music video, premiering on Rage over the weekend.
Taking no prisoners with an authentic riot grrrl approach, VOIID’s latest belter ‘Vile’ isn’t too dissimilar from what has come before, instead acting as a vivid sign post for what’s next. The video is the ideal DIY affair, directed by Hey Aidan and capturing the band in their natural habitat while confronting the band’s punk aesthetic accurately.
The band says of the song: “‘Vile’ is a song written about a personal experience that caused a lot of hardship and pain. While the lyrics convey negative connotations, they are relatable to a lot of situations people in their late teens can go through.”
Recently, they announced deals with both a new manager in Tiani Seeto of the recently-created Mafioso Music and booking agent in Rob Giovannoni at Select Music, as well as a huge east coast tri-headline tour with A. Swayze & The Ghosts and Crocodylus throughout March.
