Phil Campbell & the Bastard Sons

Lincolnshire’s Biggest Rock festival is going beyond the call of duty to reach out to service men & women throughout the UK who want to spend some valuable downtime raising hell with likes of Phil Campbell from Motörhead , who is bringing his hugely popular project Phil Campbell & the Bastard Sons to Call of the Wild festival at Lincolnshire Showground.  The band features 3 of Phil’s very talented sons.

Organisers can’t help but feel an affinity with the military personnel as the festival is based a mere 2 miles from RAF Scampton which was the base from which the Dambusters flew out from during WW2 & is also home of the Red Arrows.

Festival Director Dave O Hara served his time in the Royal Navy & Head of Press & Media Mark “Tosh” Davis spent his time in the RAF.

“We feel it’s a very small gesture compared to the invaluable work all military personnel do to keep our country safe. It’s our way of saying thank you & we hope many come & join us over the weekend”

We may never see the mighty Motörhead play another festival, but Call of the Wild are gunning to keep the fiery spirit of history’s most prolific heavy rock band alive and kicking when they bring what got shortlisted as the Best New Festival 2019 back to the idyllic and expansive Lincolnshire Showground in May 2020.

Call of the Wild Festival is back, bigger and better in 2020, strengthening its roster with over 50 bands from around the world! The festival is very much about mixing it up with genres, catering to a range of tastes and passions. You’ll also find established bands playing alongside some very exciting new finds and breakthrough talent, including bands flying in for UK-debut shows from America and Scandinavia.

It’s a great, famously-friendly, all-round festival experience too, boasting some of the tastiest, varied street food stalls, with vegetarians and vegans well catered for. Not to mention bars serving Motörhead Beers and Cloven Hoof Rum, for your palette’s pleasure.

Call of the Wild’s second cycle takes place between 29th-31st May 2020 at the Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings, Lincoln LN2 2NA: a fantastic 3 days of fun with top-flight live music and full festival experience.
