Jimmy Barnes releases “A Tender Rendition Of ‘Silent Night'”

Jimmy Barnes

Jimmy Barnes serves up his latest curveball, a surprisingly tender rendition of ‘Silent Night’ from the notoriously rowdy rocker – those who haven’t heard Jimmy in “crooner mode” are in for a treat! Jimmy’s interpretation of ‘Silent Night’ is bound to become a standard on Australian holiday playlists.

Jimmy performed ‘Silent Night’ on the season finale of Q&A last night, where he appeared on the panel alongside Federal MP Kristy McBain, former Liberal MP Michael Yabsley, sex worker, artist and writer Rita Therese, and international relations expert Lavina Lee.

Over the course of 2020, Jimmy Barnes and his wife Jane turned their lounge room into Australia’s most popular gig, posting acoustic performances of nearly 200 songs. With combined views in excess of 80 million, these intimate live performances have helped fans get through a challenging year.

The release of ‘Silent Night’ follows the release of Jimmy’s latest best-selling book Killing Time and the single of the same name in collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

Jimmy is donating his profits from the release of ‘Silent Night’ to charities supporting children in need.
