Echo Del Tusker kick off 2020 with their brand new single What Am I To You, coming to your favourite digital music outlets on today. The band once again returned to Lighthill Sound Recording in Melbourne to record the track, with Ricki Rae handling production duties. The video premiered yesterday via Scenestr Mag, which was shot by Ian Ritter and features award winning Melbourne burlesque dancer Ainslie Adams.

Guitarist Brendan Forward wrote the track, as he sought to capture the feeling of a new relationship when two people first come together and begin to discover each other. “When you just start dating someone you can spend all this time together and still be unsure about what you mean to each other. It can be hard to really define exactly what the relationship is. It was loosely inspired by a good friend of mine and was something a bit different lyrically from anything I’d written before. I would definitely say that it was inspired a bit by the Stones’ Miss You, but once the band jammed on it a bit it kind of became its own thing.

Echo Del Tusker is comprised of Estelle Artois on vocals and guitar (ex-Tequila Mockingbyrd), Brendan Forward on guitar (ex-Massive) and Jarrod Medwin on drums (ex-Massive). When you combine the styles, sounds and influences of Artois, Forward and Medwin you get Echo Del Tusker: music that contains fragments of rock, blues, garage, soul and R&B – or as Forward has labelled it “guitar-driven soul rock.”

Having celebrated their first year together not too long ago, Echo Del Tusker have already played dates with Rose Tattoo and Dallas Crane, toured around VIC-NSW-WA, been featured on Triple M, partnered with Scenestr Mag for three song premieres, received international radio play including the US and UK and been featured in Classic Rock Magazine, The Music AU, Amnplify, the Rockpit, Scenestr, The SoundcheckAU and on The Hard Rock Show to name just a few.
