Melbourne vintage rockers Devil Electric release first track in three years

Devil Electric

Melbourne’s Devil Electric set the vintage rock scene alight in 2017 with the release of their mesmerising self titled debut album. The 37 minute, 9-track LP received rave reviews the world over!

In 2020, they are set to follow up that landmark album with another slab of riff heavy, doom encrusted rock n roll. To whet your appetite they have released a spellbinding first single in the shape of All My Friends Move Like The Night.

The band explain the story behind the song: “I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life”. All My Friends Move Like The Night is based on this quote from The Great Gatsby. We can all relate to being the participant and witness in our own destructive behaviour. Throughout life you find yourself swept up or surrounded by people, places, actions that are so disconnected from who you were that you don’t recognise who you are.

The track has received over 31 000 streams in 2.5 weeks on Spotify and has been featured on the Hard Rock, All New Rock and Stoner Rock playlists.

‘All My Friends Move Like The Night’ is available on all Digital Platforms now. Expect the new Devil Electric album in mid-late 2020

Fronted by the gracious and haunting female presence of Pierina O’Brien, Devil Electric are a riff-heavy 4-piece rock n’ roll band from Melbourne, Australia. Taking musical cues from the hard rock greats of the ’70s and combining them with powerful, female fronted vocals, Devil Electric have gained fast recognition across local and global stages with their dark, signature sound.
