Melodic Rock Fest 2020 set for March with massive lineup

Melodic Rock Fest 2020

The music of the 1980s and 1990s will go down in history for its unbridled love of rock and its almost unashamed glam rock look that involved men wearing makeup and hairstyles that defied logic.
It is a period of music that, despite initial scepticism, flourished and turned into a worldwide phenomenon with new fashion cultures spreading as rapidly as the music itself.

It was a time where image held just as much importance as the music and a time that revolutionised the world of music and ushered in legions of imitators and pretenders that continues unabated today.

The music then was almost a guilty pleasure, but if you looked beyond the glam and make up the quality of musicianship was – and still is – second to none.

Melodic Rock Fest 2020 promises to turn the clock back to the final two decades of the Millenium, rolling out the best bands and artists of that period and unleashing them back into a musical climate that is vastly different to when they played their first chords in anger.

Headlining MelodicRock Fest 2020 will be Firehouse, with support from some of the biggest names to grace melodic rock, with FM, Eclipse, Enuff Z Nuff, Crazy Lixx, Ron Keel, XYZ, Janet Gardner, Paul Laine, Tony Harnell (TNT) and Kip Winger rounding out the international contingent.

With a strong emphasis on local talent, MelodicRock Fest will also feature Midnite City, White Widdow, BB Steal, Serpentine Sky, The Radio Sun, Teargas, Ragdoll, Madman’s Lullaby, Cassidy Paris, Saint Scarlett, Terramaze, KVLTS of Vice and Dangerous Curves.

Held over March 6, 7 and 8 at The National Theatre, Melbourne, Melodic Rock Fest 2020 is taking you back to the days when music was more than just a background distraction. The fact that so many of the bands who dominated that period are still touring and performing today is testament to the enduring nature of rock. Music transcends age barriers and will continue to prosper long into the next generation. Yesterday’s heroes remain today’s pacesetters, with the greatest line up of melodic rock ever seen in this country only fuelling this belief.

Join the rock revolution and relive the moments that will remain an integral part of music for many years to come.
