August 22nd, a hard rock event known as Nox Rocks will take place in support of all the artists and crew responsible for making the event possible.
The Swedish hard rock elite will participate during a four hour long concert, including; Candlemass, Thundermother, Scarlet, Easy Action, as well as an allstar band with members such as Pontus Norgren (Hammerfall) and Pontus Egberg (King Diamond).
Nox Rocks is an initiative launched by reknowned people within the music business, with support by Nox Studios, where the event will be hosted.
“This is a way to contribute to live culture and it’s audience during an unsustainable time where the industry, with it’s current maximum 50 people rule is leaning towards a prohibition of income“, says Michael Storck, one of the founders of the event.
The concert will be live streamed via Solidtango.Tickets are 199SEK, from which all income is shared between the performing acts and workers participating in hosting the event.
Tommy Nilsson, known by the masses for his time in schlager music during the 90’s is the vocalist in Easy Action and will be performing alongside former Europe guitarist Kee Marcello, amongst others.The event is lead by Anders Tengner and Jovan Radomir.
“It’s amazing to see such a gathering of both artists and individuals working behind the scenes. Nobody knows if there’s going to be a single penny earned”, says Storck and continues. “We are of course keeping our fingers crossed that this reaches all hard rock fans and that they support the event by watching the concert or by donating.”
