Two Minds, Two Voices, One Vision. Brisbane two-piece TRACE are today announcing the imminent release of their debut heavy grunge track ‘WHITE’ and the launch show for the single. This Friday, March 20, the single will see it’s way into the world on all good digital outlets at https://ditto.fm/white-trace.

Forming early 2017 out of frustration and a desire for something REAL; Chris Arthur and Scotty Wade began TRACE with a common goal: Create music that was hard-hitting, melodic and passionate. TRACE songs wear the members’ influences firmly on their sleeves and make no apologies for it.

With the sonics of the band harkening back the movements of the 90’s, a listener should have no trouble identifying traces of Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots – but with a fresh, modern spin, crafted/mixed/produced by Branko Cosic (1000HZ Recording – DZ Deathrays, The Belligerents, Tape/Off), Chris Arthur and Scott Wade and Mastered by Harris Newman (Greg Market Mastering – Canada).

With a fresh sound, melodic hooks thanks to dual lead vocals, a wall of guitars, and the driving force of drums, WHITE tips the cap to the band’s influences but lends itself to the future. Scotty and Chris aim to create lyrical content that delves into their real experiences and memories – stories of past mistakes through to retribution, broken relationships to forgiveness, anxiety to acceptance, fear of loss, to hope – real memories produced in music.

Guitarist/Bassist/Vocalist, Chris Arthur, says that “White describes the feelings and emotions you go through in the midst of depression and the addictive nature of such thoughts as suicide, fear and loneliness. That self-destructive path that leads to nowhere good, or safe – we’ve all been there. Then knowing that there is a light, and that light is within you. You’ve just got to reach out and find that switch because no one is going to find it for you. You can sit there screaming, “I’ve been waiting so long”, to have you scream back “no one waited for you”, or you can go out there and get it!”

With the release of WHITE, this is a celebration of 2 years of hard work, and the release of the many real stories Chris and Scott have experienced in life.
