Enjoying the last warm sunrays of late September, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA comforts you with a late summer anthem to extend the ease and joy of that season.
Check out the latest masterpiece of Sweden’s classic rock first class and watch the video for ‘Impossibile’ HERE.
The band states: “Some bands might get depressed when the summer ends and the darkness is coming closer. But not The Night Flight Orchestra. Instead, they choose to celebrate the summers that were, the summers that might never come again, but will always be with you, like a tiny sprinkle of Champagne to thaw your frost-bitten heart.
Impossibile is a song for all the hopeless romantics who are hanging on by a thread to the memories of their vivid summer escapades, hoping that it will help them survive the approaching winter
We thank Bonnie Jean for some amazing dancing on the beaches of Caliifornia. Sebastian Forslund put several impressions together and created a wonderful video out of it.
The ”B-side” is a cover of Reach out by Cheap Trick, and everything except the lead vocals and drums were recorded on tour, on tour buses and backstage rooms throughout Europe, before we had to head home because the the borders were starting to close down. But this is our love letter to you, from The Night Flight Orchestra, hoping that you’ll be with us through the rough winter months coming up.”
Back with a vengeance and hell-bent on destruction, Norwegian death metallers, CADAVER, are back in business and ready to reign. Today, the band announces that Edder & Bile, the first full length from this band’s new incarnation of Anders Odden’s original, extreme metal vision, will be released on November 27th via Nuclear Blast Records. In celebration, the band partnered with Decibel Magazine to premiere the music video for the first single, “Morgue Ritual”.
Anders Odden comments, “I met Dirk Verbeuren during the 70000 Tons Of Metal festival in 2014. He was sitting in for Frost in SATYRICON and we played 2 shows together. It turned out that Dirk was a huge CADAVER fan and at the time I had several songs in the making for what I thought might be a solo album. The idea of kicking this all into the 3rd version of CADAVER came into life and we started to share ideas. We had about 10 songs by the time Dirk was on tour in Europe with MEGADETH in 2016. They played in my neighborhood and we spent the afternoon jamming. CADAVER was reborn. I started to pile up ideas for new tracks and time went by. I really wanted this to sound like CADAVER and be up to date, yet timeless. The music is what we both consider as death metal. I have my own way of writing riffs and he has his own way of expressing them on drums that just fits and sounds great.
We finally found the time to hit the studio in early 2019 and recorded the album in LA where Dirk lives and works. The music just sparks of energy and freshness from the experience we had jamming together. We are truly kindred spirits and are in this for the long run for sure. ‘Edder & Bile’ is the manifestation of our commitment to music and the start of everlasting life for the old CADAVER.”
Dirk Verbeuren states, “‘Hallucinating Anxiety’ threw me for a loop when I first heard it as a teenager. As such albums tend to do, it quickly became one of my favorites. I followed CADAVER through various incarnations over the years, and when the chance to work with Anders unexpectedly presented itself, needless to say, I didn’t have to mull it over. Our goal was for ‘Edder & Bile’ to capture the spontaneous, filthy energy of death metal. It was an effortless collaboration- things just naturally fell into place and the result speaks for itself. Feast upon this, death fiends!”
Canadian melodic death metal heavyweights KATAKLYSM unleash their 14th full-length studio album, UNCONQUERED, unto the world via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, the band offers fans the music video for “Cut Me Down”, featuring Tuomas Saukkonen (WOLFHEART).
Maurizio Iacono comments, “‘Cut Me Down’ is a melodic, high octane assault with thrash elements and relentless power, showcasing another angle of our new album “’UNCONQUERED’ which is eleased today! The lyrical idea of this song is being surrounded by someone whose sole purpose is betraying you and taking advantage of you. Luckily for me, I trust no one. I did however trust Tuomas Saukkonen of WOLFHEART to come and give a hand on the song and rip through the chorus with me as a special guest! ”
After celebrating the release of their unique Spruce flavoured Vodka with a live stream held at the Pyynikin Brewery in Tampere, Finland, KORPIKLAANI are today releasing a very special cover. Their new single ‘Sudenmorsian’ is their take on Powerwolf’s song “Where The Wild Wolves Have Gone”, which was recorded & mixed by Jonne Järvelä at his JonneStudio.
The band states: “When we were approached by Powerwolf, we agreed immediately and wanted to do something a little different and special. Once again Tuomas Keskimäki did his magic and adapted the lyrics into Finnish and made a fitting powerful tale. Of all the covers we have done over the years, this is one we are really proud of and cannot wait for everyone to hear this.”
Sudenmorsian (The Wolf’s Bride) tells the story of loneliness and lycanthropy. The story follows a man who is inseparable with his bride, but when summer’s gentle nights pass and darkness comes, the man turns into a wolf. He realises that if he surrenders to the call of nature, he’ll be destined to live alone.
BELPHEGOR will re-release their 2000’s album “Necrodaemon Terrorsathan” on November 6th. Twenty years after its first appearance the third studio album of the European black death metal force comes to new life as remastered version – available as CD and LP.
Today, the band already shares a first taste of that sinister resurrection with a stunning music video for their re-recorded version of the title track “Necrodaemon Terrorsathan” [available as digital single only].
Helmuth states: “During these uncertain global times, we continue to glorify the Pan-demonic Totentanz with the re-recorded title track, NECRODAEMON TERRORSATHAN. It’s a manifestation of Diabolical Death Metal in its purest form. 20 years after the original release, it’s an offering to the horde that supports BELPHEGOR, making it possible for us to still be here, on fire, and stronger than ever before. We hail you!”
