Australian metal combo Shatter Brain have just revealed a new music video for their song Death Goes On, the song is taking from the debut album “Pitchfork Justice”, scheduled to be released on May 1st via Wormholedeath Records. The video Death Goes On was premiered yesterday via Legacy.

Pitchfork Justice was recorded and mixed by Jimmy Balderston at Ghostnote Recording Studios (Scott Kelly, Sumeru, Space Bong) in Adelaide, and mastered by Dav Byrne at Iridium Audio (Witchskull, YLVA, Space Bong). All artwork and layouts were done by Adelaide local Steve Lehmann. Pitchfork Justice contains nine cohesive songs that are a unique blend of sludge metal, old-school thrash, and hardcore, with modern and diverse vocals. The production is lively and bombastic, as well as punchy and aggressive, and the lyrics make a strong statement about the current state of the world, particularly around social media and PC culture.

Shatter Brain are an Adelaide based metal band comprised of members of some of South Australia’s most successful heavy bands. The band launched in January 2018, releasing a four-song demo that was recorded and mixed by guitarist Jack Hartley and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust, Power Trip, Cavalera Conspiracy). The release was supported by an Australian & New Zealand Tour between Feb and April. This tour culminated with a debut home town show in front of over 650 punters at the annual Heavy SA Festival. The band then commenced the Rip the Stitch Asia Tour in June/July with shows in Taiwan, including a headlining performance at Wake Up Fest in Chiayi, Thailand and Malaysia as main support for Brazilian crossover-thrash legends R.D.P. (Ratos de Porão).

Upon returning to Australia, Shatter Brain released a split vinyl EP (aptly titled The Twelve Inch Split) with Melbourne band Blunt Shovel in early August and embarked on another tour with King Parrot and Blunt Shovel. Shatter Brain began 2019 with a tour of Japan and returned to Australia to open for Max and Iggor Cavalera’s (Sepultura) Return to Beneath the Arise tour, during which Tom joined Max on stage to sing a rendition of AC/DCs Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. The band rounded out the year by supporting New Orleans sludge legends Eyehategod (USA) in November. With their debut album on the way, 2020 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for Shatter Brain!
