With 2020 being a year no one could have ever predicted, Sydney hard rock sensations Lillye have taken advantage of the down time to get busy writing new material for their second full length album.
The band released a single in this time paying homage to Aussie rockers The Screaming Jets with a fresh twist on their hit single from the 90’s ‘Better’. The fan response was immediate with the track coming straight in at #3 on the iTunes Rock Chart and working it’s way up to the Top Spot at #1 after just a few hours!
Also within this time, lead singer Virginia brought rock to the masses on a very bizarre Covid season of The Voice.
They were also fortunate enough to announce their signing to one of the elite booking agencies in Australia, Destroy All Lines. In conjunction with DAL, they are excited to present a very special show on Tuesday, December 15.
Lillye will return to the iconic Vanguard in Newtown for an exclusive acoustic performance to cap off 2020. Known for their visceral and in-your-face hard rock energy, they will take their intense sound to a new realm with a stripped- back and intimate take on their songs.
‘It’s been a crazy ass year! To say we are pumped to get back on the road again is an understatement.. we are beyond keen to personally and physically interact with our fans again!’ Says Virginia.
Tickets are extremely limited for their end of year show. Make sure you don’t miss out on seeing this unplugged show before they head into the studio to record their 2021 album.
