One of the most innovative prog-metal bands in the game, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, will return to Aussie shores in a few weeks time!
Renowned for their relentless touring, consistently delivering dynamic shows – a frantic, theatrical feast of intense, riffing raw energy – the American five-piece will tear through Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for three intimate shows only this summer.
Opening all shows on the tour will be Melbourne progressive instrumental band, The Omnific.
With TWO bass players and a drummer, The Omnific command your attention when taking the stage.
While visually alluring, the band create a sound that is rich in atmosphere and sublime tones with complex yet totally accessible melodies and pulsing rhythms.
The band released their third EP, The Mind’s Eye in mid 2019 and it received high praise from music press around the world, with The Soundcheck describing the release as an ‘utterly bewitching journey’
The Mind’s Eye tour saw them share the stage with the mighty Cog and even take their epic prog ’n’ bass sonics on a national tour of halls and cathedrals with the voices of The Song Company!
Swirling textures, syncopation, euphoric highs and melancholic lows; The Omnific are truly captivating!
Between The Buried And Me will play two sets each night, with bassist Dan Briggs explaining: “The ‘evening with’ set is a curation of almost 20 years of music with the specific intent on realising what it all means in 2019 – how did we arrive here and where do we go?’
