Victorian death metal act Abramelin release first new song in 20 years ‘Full Gore Whore’

Abramelin

Arguably the pioneers of death metal in Australia, ABRAMELIN have just completed recording their first album in almost 20 years: “Never Enough Snuff”. A brutal and extremely violent album even by death metal standards, the album was recorded at various studios in Melbourne and then sent off to Unisound in Sweden to be mixed and mastered by the master of metal, Dan Swanö.

With the album release set for May, the first piece to be thrown to the blood thirsty fanatics is the pleasantly titled ‘Full Gore Whore’. A grisly allegory about an unstoppable killing machine that happens to be a teenage girl. After killing everyone she comes across, the government get their hands on her, sending her overseas to slaughter the enemy in a covert operation.

Abramelin was a powerful, driving force in the 90’s, playing alongside a host of well-known Aussie acts from various genres, as well as international metal giants like Morbid Angel, Cradle of Filth, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass & Paradise Lost, just to name a few. Although at the top of their game and in high demand, the band decided to take a break in 2003… one that would last 14 years!

Fast forward to 2017, Abramelin returned stronger than ever! Original members Simon Dower and Tim Aldridge are still on board with ex-Abramelin guitarist & music contributor Rob “Wog” Mollica (Earth) now picking up the bass; blisteringly fast guitarist Matt Wilcock (Ackercocke), and last but not least, Australia’s #1 metal drummer, David Hayley (Psycroptic) is on board ripping out the blast beats
