Every year as a kid we used to put together lists of our favourite musicians – you know the ones – favourite singer, favourite guitarist, favourite bassist… But when it came to favourite drummer there was usually one name ever-present – Carmine Appice! Just watching the man play was an experience whether it was with Vanilla Fudge or Beck, Bogart and Appice or any other band he played with. Years later of course came King Kobra and plenty of other wonderful projects. After many years of admiring the man’s work from afar we finally got the chance to sit down and talk about his latest music with Vanilla Fudge, the upcoming King Kobra and some of the other projects he’s sinking his teeth into. For the second of our ‘A Rock and Roll Life’ Interviews we couldn’t have sat down with a nicer guy!
