Now into its seventh year and an established Melbourne institution, James Reyne and eMusic Live are thrilled to announce today that Reyne’s Annual Cup Eve show at the Corner Hotel, Richmond, will be live streamed for audiences across the world.
In recent years tickets have been highly sought after, demand far outstripping venue capacity. Now music lovers, starved of opportunities to attend gigs over the last 18 months, can live stream Reyne’s highly anticipated Cup Eve show worldwide.
James Reyne’s Annual Cup Eve show will be live streamed on Monday, November 1 from 8:30pm AEDT.
Melbourne Cup Eve brings with it a party-like atmosphere, and with much of Australia still in lockdown, James and his band will bring a massive repertoire to the stage, playing everything from Australian Crawl hits to stellar selections from James’s esteemed solo career, including his latest, critically acclaimed studio album, Toon Town Lullaby.
James Reyne said today, “We’re playing our annual Melbourne Cup eve show at the Corner Hotel in Richmond on the 1st of November! We haven’t played as a band for a while so we’re champing and chomping at the bit. It was going to be a show with a live audience, but due to circumstances beyond our control that just cannot be, so we’re making it a full-blown LIVE STREAMING EVENT. Full band, full show, so no matter where you are, you can TUNE IN and be part of the whole FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. See you from the Corner Hotel, Monday November the 1st!”
Scot Crawford of Crawford Creative Services, said today, “When we streamed the Cup Eve show last year, we never would have thought that we would be considering this as an option in 2021. As I’m sure all artists did, we expected that fans would be back in rooms at some level, or that some kind of ‘work around’ would have been figured out to get our music community back in business.
