Always finding a positive in a situation and now caught in Australia’s lockdown whilst on his 2020 tour down under, former ‘Band Of Friends’ (Rory Gallagher band members), Stevie Wright (Easybeats) and Jim Keays (Master’s Apprentices) guitarist, South Australian Music Hall of Fame inductee and UK-based Gwyn Ashton is seizing the opportunity to write and record new material.
His brand new blues-rockin’ single ‘Lonely On The Run’ is a trans-continental collaboration between him and drummer John Freeman (Bon Scott’s pre AC/DC band Fraternity) in Australia, bassist Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Black Sabbath) and Mark Stanway (organ with Robert Plant, Phil Lynott’s Grand Slam, Magnum) in the UK .
Since it’s release, ‘Lonely On The Run’ has been named one of the ‘Tracks Of The Week’ for Classic Rock Magazine on October 4 2021.
