BURNING WITCHES Release Music Video For New Single “The Witch Of The North”, DECAPITATED announce demo collection “The First Damned”, OCEANS reveal new single ‘EVERYONE I LOVE IS BROKEN’.
Heavy metal coven BURNING WITCHES are proud to release not only the title track of their upcoming new studio album, “The Witch Of The North,” but also their first ever high-quality music video to go along with it. And they couldn’t have chosen a better date for the release of this new single: it coincides with Walpurgis Night, the traditional night of the witches, deeply rooted in Central and Northern European folklore.
While the song “The Witch Of The North” showcases BURNING WITCHES at their heaviest and features their most anthemic chorus to date, its music video brings the stunning album over artwork by Claudio Bergamín to life. Witness the forest witch conjure a demon warrior out of the flames and lead it into battle. Sorcery, swordplay, fire & blood – it doesn’t get more METAL than this!
Happy Walpurgis Night!

BURNING WITCHES comment on the video: “It was a big dream of us, to finally produce a video clip with an acclaimed company like Grupa 13 and a bit of a bigger budget. The title track of the new album was the perfect song to transpose visually, it is not a typical single, it is more of an epic grower. This way we have visually reflected the song for eternity! We hope you will love it as much as we do!”
Stirring the internet recently with mysterious cassette tapes posted across their socials, DECAPITATED put an end to the speculation today: On June 4th, the Polish tech death metal virtuosos will release their early demos in a carefully handpicked collection called “The First Damned”.

Officially released via NUCLEAR BLAST for the first time, DECAPITATED’s early demos have not been remixed, remastered or messed with in any way. Instead, this is a blistering snapshot of four young men with fire in their bellies and a bright future ahead of them.
Vogg states: “For some of you, the story behind these demos might be an awesome way to learn about the band or refresh your memory on our history. Demo tape is at the core of the band’s DNA and when I think about it now, I am really surprised that we were able to record both demos at such a young age.
I am excited that it was possible to work on this release with a great team and deliver something for our die-hard fans. “The First Damned” is unique, with an awesome layout and bio, which some of you might not be familiar with.
If it wasn’t for Sauron who came up with the idea of starting a band, my brother Vitek who played drums at the age of 12, and Martin who had the idea of going to the studio to record those tracks – there wouldn’t be a band called Decapitated. We were just a bunch of young guys who were inspired by thrash and death metal.
Now, with the help of great people: Dom Lawson, Micah Ulrich, Marcelo Vasco, and all the team who worked on this release, we were able to create – in my opinion – a cool design and honouring the true demo cassette vibe.
For the first time this record will be released on LP, and we couldn’t of course forget about cassettes, which are another cool way to keep the memories alive. We didn’t change anything with the sound. We took the sound from the original DAT masters, so it’s the real, organic sound of the music we recorded back in the days.
I hope you will enjoy it the same way I do.”
Post metal heroes OCEANS release their new digital EP “We Are Nøt Okay” via Nuclear Blast. They also reveal their fourth single ‘EVERYONE I LOVE IS BROKEN’, for which the band teamed up with none other than the American metal legend Robb Flynn (MACHINE HEAD) to call out the dangers of rashly prescribed antidepressants. The accompanying music video graphically displays the effects of pill addiction.
Timo Rotten comments: “Working with Robb and all the other amazing people that contributed to this EP was an experience I will never forget. Everyone was so positive about it and we all put so much energy into this without the slightest hint of hesitation. It’s just absolutely mind-blowing to me and I couldn’t be happier about how it all turned out. Together we can make a difference and end the stigma of mental health once and for all!”
Robb Flynn adds: “The OCEANS team reached out to me with a really unique idea for a song. There was a public blog about depression that anyone could add their story to, the band partnered with the blog and took bits of peoples stories, and from that concept came the lyrics for this song. As someone who has battled and written about depression, I know how powerful music can be to fight off the feeling. This song has a powerful message, I’m honored to be a part of this great song.”
