MAGE’s latest release “The Righteous” is a wall of sound driven by bad temper and relentless aggression. Scooped tones and beefy drums bring a high-fi/low end mix to the table, accompanied by chanting vocals that sing a rebellion against those who feel above the rest as we dub them ‘the righteous’. Followed by a chorus full of punch and chops, all designed to drive the energy into a feeling of unity and power!
After playing a sold out show supporting KARNIVOOL in December 2019, MAGE have been gearing up to support world renowned Stoner Doom trio STONED JESUS (UKR) for their Aus/NZ tour followed by a slot at Brisbane festival MOJO BURNING alongside TEMPLES (UK) & KADAVAR (GER) early next year. Both shows were rescheduled in 2020 due to the inevitability of the Corona virus crisis.

“Working on The Righteous was an easy and flowing process. We discussed a vision of blending big low end tones with harsh abrasive high end tones. The freedom of no restraints was very enjoyable. Overall I think we harnessed some original sounds and some sincerity with the ethos of “what’s wrong is right”.
