Queensland’s Fake News have delivered their brand new slab of punk goodness in the shape of Checking In. The first single from their forthcoming album, Everyday Warrior, to be released on July 21.
With its infectious energy and classic pop/punk sound in the vibe of Bouncing Souls, Strungout and Millencolin, Checking In is your new favourite anthem.

The band comment on making the video: “The clip was a blast to make we got the keys to the whole school from a mate we know and just did our own thing, the whole joint was ours for as long as we liked, the in the afternoon Filming at moes desert clubhouse was such a fun day they run out of beer kegs it was it a big party full of legends.”
Formed 2017 Fake News quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the punk scene releasing their debut EP & sharing the stage with many punk legends including
Good Riddance, No Fun At All, Death By Stereo, Bodyjar, 28 Days & Guttermouth all in their first year as a band!
After a major reinvention, the band recruited new vocalist Tim and set about creating their forthcoming anthemic, melodic and outrageously fun, full length album, Everyday Warrior.
Everyday Warrior is an album that covers so much across its 11 songs. From Aliens to the party life and growing up to being an everyday warrior rising above the struggles of everyday life that will beat you down. From going for a drive down a long lonely road to the obsession of making so many mistakes in life. To the insanity of humanity and how much we are destroying the planet and the crazy year that was 2020 and the brainwashed ideologies that have been casted upon us in this Fake Reality.
Although in the words of the guys themselves, “Art is in the eye of beholder so our songs can be whatever you decide they are about.”
In any case, Fake News remain standing, with shit-eating grins because they are Checking In. The music video for Checking In will be released soon. Pre Orders for Everyday Warrior will be available in the near future.
