‘THE SCOTCH OF SAINT JAMES’ release new single ‘CAFE’ & gear up for the forthcoming album ‘FRENCH BY SPILLED BLOOD’
West Australian rock’n’roll band The Scotch of Saint James are set to release “Cafe” the third and final single from their very soon to be released fourth album “French By Spilled Blood” which will be out 29th October. “Cafe”, a song about giving into your demons, kicks off with a swinging latin jazz groove and slowly builds in intensity until climaxing with the vocal line “I must learn to say no” repeated over a four to the floor dance rock crescendo.
“It’s a song about giving into your demons, be them legal or otherwise. Sometimes we all must learn to say no.” Michael Paver (Vocals/Guitar)
It’s been several years between drinks for the enigmatic 4 piece. Things finally got restarted when founding members returned from overseas, and also after taking time out from other projects. They bunkered down in a rural WA recording studio to lay down the finishing touches to ‘Cafe’ plus 11 other tracks of pure Rock n Roll swagger.
The Scotch of Saint James started in 2005 drawing on the member’s love of rock’n’roll, denim, windmills and beers. They’ve played Festivals such as the Big Day Out, V-Fest and Groovin the Moo and shared stages with the likes of Kasabian, Tame Impala, and Violent Soho.
The Scotch Of Saint James are: Michael Paver (Vocals/Guitar), Bobby Burgess (Vocal/Guitars), Red M Redmond (Vocals/Bass), Tim Stacey (Drums)
‘Cafe’ will be released across all streaming platforms 1st October, 2021
