EVEN release new single ‘GOLD SUNDAY’ and announce their Gold Sunday run of shows in March & April

After getting their live work back on track with two successful Christmas shows and five album launches around Melbourne over the last month and a half, Melbourne indie-rock legends EVEN have released a new single entitled ‘Gold Sunday’ from their acclaimed new album ‘Reverse Light Years’, and announced more shows.

Even will undertake a Gold Sunday series of Sunday shows in March and April to launch the new single, taking in a Spiegeltent appearance for The Garden of Unearthly Delights at the Adelaide Fringe Festival on Sunday March 6, a show at the Tote on Sunday March 20 as part of the legendary Melbourne venue’s 40th celebrations, and a show in Sydney for Great Southern Nights’ Last Month of the Lansdowne series of shows on Sunday April 10.

The Last Month of the Lansdowne show will give the group a chance to say goodbye to a favourite Sydney venue, while the Tote show celebrates a favourite Melbourne venue as well as a special part of Even history;  it will feature the first appearance in decades by Ashley Naylor and Matthew Cotter’s pre-Even band The Swarm, who existed in the late ’80s and early ’90s and who featured broadcaster Francis Leach – pre-Triple J days – on vocals. Also appearing at The Tote show are fellow ’90s Melbourne indie greats The Glory Box – whose album is shortly to be reissued on Wally from Even’s Cheersquad Records & Tapes label – and new power pop outfit The Prize, comprising former members of Mr Teenage.
