LIAM GALLAGHER shares the new single ‘EVERYTHING’S ELECTRIC’

Liam Gallagher again amplifies anticipation for the May 27th release of his third studio album C’MON YOU KNOW’ with the release of its first single Everything’s Electric. Liam is set to give the song its live debut on the biggest stage imaginable when heperforms at the BRIT Awards next Tuesday. It’s a striking first statement of the year ahead, which also features Liam’s biggest ever solo shows in the UK. C’MON YOU KNOW’ looks set to be Liam’s third consecutive UK #1 studio album.

“Everything’s Electric” will surely also be the most attention-grabbing collaboration of 2022. It was co-written by Dave Grohl (who also performs drums in the track) with its producer, the multiple Grammy Award and Ivor Novello winner Greg Kurstin. Liam Gallagher and Dave Grohl first met many years ago when Foo Fighters played with Oasis on tour. They’ve maintained a mutual admiration ever since, while speculation about a possible collaboration between the pair has risen in recent years.

Liam wanted a song that melds the thunderous dynamics of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage with the spiralling tension and danger of The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter. And that’s what they achieved. With raw, rhythmic phrasing, this is as close asLiam’s iconic snarl comes to rapping and that punk-meets-hip-hop attack is underlined by boisterous bass. Meanwhile, slide guitar, piano flourishes and Liam’shaunting backing vocals pay tribute to arguably The Stones’ finest moment.

“Everything’s Electric” provides a suitably larger-than-life introduction to Liam’s hotly anticipated album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’. His previous solo albums, As You Were’ (2017) and Why Me? Why Not.’ (2019), both went straight to #1 on the UK Official Album Chart, as did his MTV Unplugged’ (2020) record. Liam’s solo career has been a remarkable resurgence which has re-established him as an iconic artist for a whole new generation of fans.

Today also brings news of a range of exciting new formats for the ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ album, all of which are now available to pre-order here. Liam’s official store offers a limited-edition cassette, while three new vinyl formats are available exclusively via specific retailers. Amazon and HMV both stock their own coloured vinyl editions, while a clear vinyl is also available via select independent stores.
