“BEST PART OF ME” is dedicated to Jimi Jamison (SURVIVOR) for his spirit on this song. Our good friend and MAD MAX co-songwriter Fred Zahl had the honor to work together with Jimi Jamison and record the album “One Man’s Trash – History” with him. When writing new songs for the MAD MAX album together with Fred Zahl there were so many great stories to tell about the time with Jimi, all the wonderful Rock n Roll stories we all love so much. It was a very special vibe in the room and it felt like the lyrics and the guitar riffs were coming from heaven.
Even BON JOVI bass player Hugh McDonald was so touched by the song that finally he ended up playing bass on the recordings. Guess that’s what you can call a “Rock n Roll dream”. Thanks Hugh, we are honored.
