The Rockpit Premiers SKININC’s new video for Life’s a Bitch
21 January 2022 marks the first new music release by SkinInc. in 20 years, following the band’s hiatus and The Rockpit is proud to bring it to you first!
The single Life’s a Bitch talks to the realisation that not only does “shit happen” in life, it never lets up as the years go by. Just when you think your life is going well, something out of your control always seems to come along and change that for you, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it; you just have to deal with it. Whether it be something with your work, your relationship, or a global pandemic, such unexpected issues can so often make life a bitch.
The artwork elements for the single were designed by tattoo artist Adrian “Ado” Cipollone at Chapel Tattoo in Melbourne and it has a simple and clean tattoo flash vibe to it.
The video was filmed in Perth by Caris Morcombe and Melbourne by Rom Anthonis, before being produced and edited by Daniel Armstrong at Strongman Pictures in a composite low-key photographic style, which brings instant drama and packs a powerful punch – as does the music.
