VIDEO PREMIERE: Darkness reigns in OSYRON’S new music video for ‘DOMINION DAY’

Hot off the heels of an impressive single release earlier this month, Osyron, one of Canada’s up-and-coming breakout acts, shares their brand new music video for ‘Dominion Day’. As darkness reigns down on us all as we celebrate past events of human suffering, the music video serves as a reflection of the deeply rooted historical events society champions. Full of epic guitar, crushing beats and grand fast-paced melodies the video is available to watch today at The Rockpit.

The music video was filmed at Hanna Roundhouse Society in Hanna, Alberta by Zak Kelly at Kreativ Production House. This location is imperative to the music video as the location and space showcase decay and decomposition over time. This decay and decomposition are meant to signify the meaning of the track itself which deals with how society celebrates tradition and past historical events that are rooted in twisted tales and human suffering. “We felt that with a dark motif, the reflection of one’s self gazing into the mirror and questioning these very themes, we were able to convey our emotion and the song itself through this video,” explains Reed Alton (vocals).

As mentioned earlier, the single itself was released on August 10th and saw an incredible response among their fans and the industry alike. This is no surprise as Osyron have quickly made a name for themselves with their technical prowess, fantastical storytelling and outstanding vocal performances. The track was added to Spotify’s All New Metal, Exclaim Magazine’s Eh List, idobi Howl and saw coverage from Radio Futuro, Metal Heads Forever, The Tinnitist, Heavy Mag, SevillaMetal and more! No short of a musical masterpiece, the track is easily a staple for metal collections everywhere.

Osyron is a Canadian progressive symphonic metal band based in Calgary, Alberta. The group consists of vocalist Reed Alton, guitarists Krzysztof Stalmach (Solar Guitars) and Bobby Harley (Solar Guitars), bassist Tyler Corbett, and drummer Cody Anstey. Bridging the gap between traditional European metal and the music of their homegrown contemporaries, Osyron has created a sound all their own.

Having supported iconic bands like Protest The Hero, Norther, Into Eternity, Threat Signal, The Agonist and Iron Kingdom, Osyron are no strangers to the metal scene. The group is nominated for several awards in 2022 including “Metal/Heavy Artist of the Year” at the WCMA (Foundations) and the YYC Award for ‘Metal Recording of the Year” (Kingsbane Deluxe). Not only this, but Kingsbane Deluxe charted Top 10 Loud for all of 2021 at Earshot Loud! in Canada and the band was also a finalist in Calgary’s Wacken Metal Battle 2019.

This new era might just be the one that breaks Osyron onto the international stage.  Stay tuned to their social media pages for more announcements coming soon! Social links below.
