WARRIOR SOUL – “OUT ON BAIL” Album Review

Livewire/Cargo Records UK - 4th March 2022

After a frighteningly good ‘covers’ outing last time out of the traps it’s back to all original Rock and Roll for Kory Clarke and co. with ‘Out On Bail’ hitting the streets via Livewire / Cargo Records UK this March is yet another reason you need Warrior Soul in your life!

Sadly my one gripe here is that we only get three more tracks – making a total of eight. Of course that means there’s no room for fat, and whilst ‘End of the World’, like ‘One More For the Road’ before it, have that Space Age Playboys sheen and feel a little unresolved, lyrically they hit the spot. ‘The final pairing ‘Yo Yo’ with its hard edge and vocal musings, and the spoken word poetry of  ‘The New Paradigm’ are a heady mix to close.
If you’ve kept up with Warrior Soul over the years then you’ll love this. It’s and album that ticks all the boxes and says all the right things and does it in a wonderfully gritty way – back alley rock an roll and still as relentless and single minded as ever.
