Demi Marriner has released her highly anticipated debut album ‘The Things We Didn’t Say’. A songwriter well worth keeping track of, Demi’s passion and emotion is so contagious, it is almost impossible to not be captivated from the offset. Whether she’s pouring out her heart in an intimate solo shows, or kicking down the doors with her incredible backing band, Demi knows how to impress, winning of the Whispering Bob Harris’ Emerging Artist Award at the 2021 UK Americana Awards.

“This album is a long time in the making but feels as though it is coming out exactly when it was supposed to. The record is introspective, reflective and honest as we go through questioning, heartbreak, resilience and healing. Featuring foot stomping country blues tracks like ‘Sins’, heart-breaking country ballads like ‘Stay’, 70s style Fleetwood Mac inspired tracks like ‘The Golden Kind’ and ‘Distorted Desires’, edgy alt-country Americana style tracks like ‘Last Summer’ and ‘Little Boy’ before closing out with closing credits film score worthy track ‘The Light’ – this album really gives it all and takes you on an entire journey from start to finish. It makes me feel everything and I hope it does the same for the listener. I’m super proud of this record and I cannot wait for the world to hear it.”

The album was recorded in a beautiful converted chapel called Studiowz in Pembrokeshire with the wonderful Owain Fleetwood-Jenkins. Demi and band recorded live together in the main chapel room to create a very natural and emotive performance of each song. Mixed by Miles Myerscough Harris and mastered by James Wyatt of Sloe Flower Studios.

Demi and her band comprised of Joe Coombs (guitar), Scott Warman (bass/double bass) and Jamie Dawson (drums) will be putting on two very exclusive album release shows at the end of July playing the record in full for the very first time as well as some exclusive unheard new songs that are being considered for album two! They will be joined by special guests at each show and both shows will be opened by the incredible Jess Thristan.
