KINGS COUNTY Release New Single & Video for ‘SO COLD’

With over 2 million plays on their latest video, “Holding On”, Kings County is a force to be reckoned with and is proving it once again with their new hard rock single and video, “So Cold” dropping August 25, 2023. Kings County always blasts their hard-hitting guitar riffs, blazing vocals and intense, melodic sound in your face, and this time is no exception.

Kings County is Rob Dexter (Vocals, Bass), Steve Bell (Guitars, Vocals), Joe Lopez (Drums) and Bill Kania (Guitars, Vocals).

Dexter says, ‘”So Cold” is one of those songs that have multi-tiered meanings. With everything in life, things are born, they flourish and eventually they become cold and die. When writing, “So Cold”, we were looking for exactly that, a song that bleeds into and represents multiple subjects as in life, relationships and one’s own internal struggles.”

“So Cold” came to fruition in a similar way that their last single “Holding On” came to life. Dexter and Bell had the basic idea together and presented it to their producer, Chuck Alkazian. They all gathered at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, MI., which that Alkazian owns. They created, in their eyes, one of their best songs to date.

Dexter says, “As the saying goes, you are only as good as your last song and this, alone, is something we try to follow religiously.” He continues, “Writing music is a full-contact sport and sometimes you’re blind-sided and take a hit, but keep forging ahead. The key is to continue writing, performing and releasing quality music. Writing and creating music is a passion that a lot of people don’t understand. It’s kind of like buying a lottery ticket, even though the odds are stacked against you. Eventually, in time, you hit the jackpot, but you have to be in it to win it, because when the smoke clears it’s all about the music.”

“So Cold” video was shot at M3 Studios in Miami, FL., by video director Jon Vulpine. He and his crew recreated an entire winter scene with dead trees and falling snow, meanwhile it was 90 degrees outside. Jon and his company, Glass Dagger Films are known for their work with Three Days Grace, Skillet and Seether.

“So Cold” was produced by Super Producer and Engineer, Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter) in Canton, MI.
