Jebediah celebrated the release of their first single, ‘Gum Up The Bearings’ with a hometown gig at The Rechabite, an incredible multi-purpose live venue in the heart of Northbridge, Perth. The single is the first in almost twelve years and with a new album entitled ‘OIKS’, touted for release in 2024, it was a chance for fans both old and new to see first hand the energy and music of one of Perth’s treasured bands, who have been gracing the scene since 1994.
Support came for the ever-impressive Unicorn, who are just about to launch a new video for recently released single ‘Twisted’ with a series of shows in Capel and Fremantle as well as playing one of the final events to be held at the legendary Badlands, where they will open for Def FX on December 17th. Singer Jenna Hardy is building a strong set of songs for their set and this showed once again tonight.
Another band fast making a name for themselves on the both locally and nationally is The Rinehearts, with their easy to listen to brand of indie-pop, and latest album ‘Full Bloom’ receiving glowing reviews since its release.
It was double celebrations for main act Jebediah, with their induction into the WAM Hall of Fame earlier in the week.
