UNICORN releases music video for new single ‘Twisted’

‘Twisted’ was written to inspire courage. And the music video is a celebration of courage, living and loving, complete with a debaucherous party, mirror balls and a galavant around the empty streets of Perth – reminiscent of the hedonistic night on the town we’ve all had the pleasure of forgetting.

Filmed at the formidable Moana Hall with Dave Le May at the helm as Director of Photography, Unicorn created a diorama of desire and delight. Strobe lighting and a wonderwall of colour and play, the music video is a feast of flamboyance and fabulousness. Described as a goth grunge rock band, Unicorn has been hitting the high notes in 2023.

Following their most recent release Twisted, they supported Jebediah’s ‘Gum up the bearings’ tour, a sold out show at The Rechabite as part of WAMFest in November. With launch dates looming for their music video at the Capel Country Club on 2 December and at the Buffalo Club in Fremantle on 9 December, Unicorn will be finishing the year in style supporting 90’s electropunk pop band Def FX at Badlands Bar.

Unicorn has more up their sleeve, with their next single, ‘Wasted Sunrise’ on the horizon (pun intended) – scheduled for release in February 2024. Recorded with Dave Parkin, Blackbird Sound Studio, Unicorn’s creative offerings feature songs and videos that are larger than life. Dramatic chords and hints of the theatrics you see in life, you never know where you might end up.
