Adelaide’s Audio Reign have just released an epic version of the Elton John classic Rocket Man.
The bands signature blend of diverse emotions and energies are on display throughout the track from its soft, evocative beginnings through to its powerful build up and explosive solo. Rocket Man is a rollercoaster of emotions that hark back to a time when rock songs gave you goosebumps.
Band frontman Jake Fleming says of the track, “Elton John’s music is iconic. Elton and Bernie have written so many hits and we wanted to pay homage to their brilliant songwriting. Rocket Man is a favourite song of ours from the duo and stood out as the perfect track to adapt into a heavier version to suit Audio Reigns style, and honour them in our own way.”
The Rocket Man single comes with 3 extra tracks taken from Audio Reign’s ARIA Charting album The Perfect Sea. Relentless (Explicit Version), Forgotten You and Whisper which showcases the harder side of the bands music.

Audio Reign have created an inimitable Australian Rock sound, moulding driving heavy guitars with melodic vocals and harmonies.
The band’s debut EP ‘Find Your Way’, mastered by the iconic Jens Bogren (Dragonforce, Opeth) was released to coincide with their unforgettable festival debut at the Big Day Out in 2014 alongside Pearl Jam, Deftones and Ghost with an audience of over 15,000 die-hard rock fans.
Following on from their breakthrough single Find Your Way, the band released their first full-length album which offered a monster storm of huge, driving guitars, soaring melodic vocals and an unstoppable rhythm section. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jarred Nettle, the album delivered a flurrying combination of writing, performance and production – capturing epic hooks and supercharging them with the ferocity of the band’s live sound. From their heaviest song to their most ethereal, Audio Reign wields an immense level of energy.
This energy has been instrumental in the rise of Audio Reign and securing the band many memorable shows and festivals including supporting some of the world’s biggest acts like Skillet, Pop Evil and Amaranthe, and in 2020, the band were asked to support Kip Winger on his Australian tour.
The band’s next single was the 2021 single ‘Relentless’. A song about overcoming the devastation of the music industry during the pandemic and a statement; the pledge of the band to never give up, to always have a bullet in the chamber, to be Relentless. This release was complimented with a topical music video that was nominated for several international awards.
Audio Reign’s self-titled debut album was released in 2018 and then in 2022 as a ‘International Deluxe Edition’ with some brand-new bonus tracks, coinciding with the band becoming the first Australian band to adorn the front cover of US based Highwire Daze Magazine.
August 2023 saw Audio Reign solidify a significant milestone by signing a record deal with XMusic, an innovative Australian label helmed by seasoned music executive Tim Mclean-Smith.
This strategic collaboration marked the conduit for the imminent release of the band’s highly anticipated album, “The Perfect Sea” which unveiled a series of compelling singles such as “Motorway“, “Last In Line“, “Breathe“, “Crown” and the self-titled track “The Perfect Sea” which have captivated audiences with their dynamic soundscapes, and also capturing another cover on Heavy Mag Australia.
