Tickets for the upcoming Belle and Sebastian Australian tour are flying, with West Australia becoming the first of the cities to sell out their leg of the run. For fans who missed out on tickets that first time around in WA, a second Perth show has been announced for the Scottish indie-rock icons on Wednesday, August 28th at The Astor Theatre.
The announcement of Belle and Sebastian’s return Down Under was met with an incredibly positive response, with Australian fans eager to reconnect with the band in August. Bringing with them their acclaimed catalogue of music, bolstered by the release of their latest album, ‘Late Developers’, Belle and Sebastian’s live show is going to be one that longtime fans will adore. And for newcomers, it is set to be a masterclass in musicianship and sonic legacy.
Joining Belle & Sebastian will be English singer-songwriter Badly Drawn Boy, marking their first trip down under in over twenty years.
Releasing his first album in ten years – ‘Banana Skin Shoes’ – in 2020, Badly Drawn Boy (aka Damon Gough) reminded music lovers of his talent as a songwriter and musician. A pure talent. The Mercury Prize winning artist was at the fore of a new sound taking hold of British music during the ‘90s and ‘00s – his impact cannot be denied.
