CRAVE Unleashes Debut Album “Oblivion” on July 21, 2024

Prepare to be swept into the powerful tides of heavy metal as Crave, the dynamic new force in the genre, proudly announces the release of their debut album, Oblivion, on July 21, 2024, under Battlegod Productions.

Meet the Band:
– Jan Arild Rostad – Vocals
– Tron Sturle Aune – Guitar
– Nils Morten Bietnes – Bass
– Kjetil Krangsas – Drums

Based in Trondheim, Norway, Crave’s story began with the lifelong friendship and musical partnership of Tron Sturle Aune and Nils Morten Bietnes, who grew up together in the 70s and 80s, forging their path through several bands. After concluding their previous project Cameltoe, the duo sought new horizons and discovered Kjetil Krangsas online, captivated by his YouTube tribute to Ark’s Heal The Waters. His technical prowess and musicality made him the perfect fit, solidified by their mutual connections in the Trondheim music scene. The final piece of the puzzle fell into place with the addition of Jan Arild Rostad, a versatile vocalist with a remarkable range, introduced through close friends in Chontaraz.

Crave channels the essence of legendary bands from the late 70s and 80s, drawing inspiration from icons like Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Glenn Hughes. Their sound also pays homage to the NWOBHM movement, with influences from Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and others, blending classic heavy rock with their unique edge.

Oblivion was meticulously crafted in their own studio in Melhus, where guitars, vocals, and keyboards were recorded, and in Kjetil’s studio in Buvika for the drums. The mixing and mastering process was helmed by George Nerantzis in Greece, ensuring a polished and powerful final product. Nils Morten Bietnes took the reins in Melhus, while the music itself is a collaborative effort, with Tron and Nils composing the majority of the tracks and Kjetil delivering his signature drum work.

Though a new entity, Crave has already made an impression, with their last performance at Berak Rock Festival in May 2022. Their electrifying stage presence and musicianship promise unforgettable live experiences, with more shows on the horizon following the album release.

While the band is tight-lipped about their most outrageous escapades, they hint at a memorable post-gig party in an RV that truly embodies the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. Stay tuned for more tales from the road as Crave continues to make their mark.

Oblivion will be available on all major streaming platforms and for purchase through Battlegod Productions starting July 21, 2024. Join Crave on their journey as they reignite the flame of classic heavy metal with their debut release.
