Reflecting on this journey, Chris says: “The last few weeks have been quite the journey, unexpectedly seeing my name up there on all of the betting sites in the race for the Christmas chart with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Oasis. I’m an independent act and have tried to react to this the best I can. I’m giving it my best shot and hoping to raise as much money and awareness for At A Loss charity as possible.
The support this song has had has really blown me away. I wasn’t aware quite how many other people suffer this time of year, and it’s been amazing to see a whole community spring up and come together to share the message that we are not alone.
I toured care homes over the last two weeks to bring music to people who can’t get out over Christmas, and the overriding emotion I got from that is how remembering people is a positive thing, and when we remember people we’ve lost, we bring them back to life, and into the room with us.”
