Eight long years after the release of their self-titled record, Hellenic heroes INNERWISH have returned to reclaim the melodic metal throne with their brand-new album Ash Of Eternal Flame, which is out now via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM).
“Whenever we write music, we just feel free to express ourselves the way our hearts demand at the time. Either it’s an aggressive song, a fast-paced song, a more atmospheric or an epic one, a slower song. All of our music comes straight from the heart, and having six members with different musical backgrounds, it’s a blessing for the final outcome,” grins drummer Franki Samoilis.
All members being involved in the creative process makes Ash Of Eternal Flame, a record with a diverse range of lyrical themes — spanning social and global issues, personal struggles, mythology, and even fantasy. INNERWISH are poised to shine brighter than ever while musically, the album cements their legacy as a formidable force in the melodic metal scene – this time including a cover version for the very first time in the band’s career: INNERWISH‘s version of the BLACKFOOT song ‘Send Me An Angel’ is part of the physical version of the album.

The album Ash Of Eternal Flame, features two distinct cover designs by Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design (known for his work with AMARANTHE, KAMELOT, ARION, and more). The blue version is used for both the CD and digital formats, while the red version is reserved for the vinyl edition. The album includes twelve tracks (including a bonus cover version for physical formats), recorded at LoNe and Devasoundz Studios in Athens, Greece under the guidance of producer Fotis Benardo. Mixing and mastering were handled by award-winning engineer Henrik Udd, who has worked with acts like HAMMERFALL, POWERWOLF, and SEPTICFLESH.

INNERWISH stand for melodic and melancholic heavy metal, played in a powerful and dynamic way. Their story began in Athens in 1995, and in their almost 30 years of existence they didn’t only manage to be one of the most important metal bands from Greece, but also to establish themselves as a much-respected band in the European metal scene.
