Australian heavy trailblazers Northlane took the stage last night as part of their first and only headline tour of the country in 2024. It’s been a blockbuster two years for Northlane. Emerging from the pandemic with their ARIA #1 award-winning album, Obsidian (2022), which has been streamed over 30 million times and climbing.
Having wowed crowds with their signature fusion of metal and electronic music at festivals such as Knotfest (AUS)& Monsters of Oz (USA) & toured Europe with Architects and Sleep Token, Northlane set their sights on the stage and they are dominating. With the announcement of new music, the EP ‘Mirror’s Edge’ & recently released the new single “Miasma” featuring Winston McCall from Parkway Drive a second Melbourne show has already been added to meet demand.
A smorgasbord of heavy from around the world will be supporting Northlane on their Aussie tour, starting with US progressive metalcore band Erra. Northlane have taken Erra out on tour with them a bunch of times over the years and are keen have them on board. Check out their new single, “Pale Iris”.
Up next is French metalcore crew Landmvrks in their Australian debut. Formed in 2014 with 3 studio albums under their belt they head to Impericon Festival in Germany then on to their own headline European Tour in April
Rounding out the line-up are Melbourne-via-New Zealand heavy hitters Banks Arcade who have been touring non-stop since the release of their debut album, ‘Future Lovers’ . Their latest EP ‘DEATH 2’ is out now on all platforms!
