Finishing up their Australian tour POP WILL EAT ITSELF aka PWEI aka POPPIES hit Freo Social and played a Greatest Hits Set for the First Time Ever! The career spanning set list included ‘Ich Bin Ein Auslander’, ‘Everything’s Cool’, ‘Can U Dig It?’, ‘Def Con One’, ‘Wise Up! Sucker’, ‘There Is No Love Between Us Anymore’, ‘Their Law’, ‘Dance of the Mad’, ‘X Y & Zee’, ‘Bulletproof’ and more.
Stourbridge’s irreverent favourite sons are Graham Crabb & Mary Baker on vocals, Rich March on guitar, Adam Mole on keys, Cliff Hewitt on drums & Davey Bennett on bass. Together they still have the endless energy that makes every PWEI show bucketloads of fun.
PWEI are “electronic, punk, alternative hip-hop, hybrid music for fu*king, fighting & smoking cigars” (Graham Crabb).
Extra Special Guests were fellow Grebos and UK indie-dance heroes, JESUS JONES who also performed a Greatest Hits Set including ‘Right Here Right Now’, ‘Real Real Real’, ‘International Bright Young Thing’, ‘Who? Where? Why?’, ‘Info Freako’, ‘Never Enough’, ‘The Devil You Know’ + More.
