If the tracks released are anything to go by (K.M.T.L , Proof of Life & perfect Torture) the album is going to be well worth a listen. Baldrick heads up on vocals, Charlie Wallace on guitar, Dan Fulton on bass & Josh Te Maro on drums & there’s none weaker than the other. Everything is strong & as a band they’re tight; shining a light on each others talents and as a quartet exuding energy.
Warming the crowd with their heavy riffs and dynamic drumbeats. Black Smoke Trigger played their final Aussie show before heading home to prepare for the Bruce Dickinson UK/EU tour, they had the crowd on fire ready for the main event.

Industrial heavy rockers Filter, hailing fall the way from Ohio, USA, were here to share with us their incredibly powerful musical presence as part of The Algorithm World Tour.
“The Algorithm”, their 8th studio album released in 2023. They have been making music for over thirty years together, achieving platinum status and recording soundtracks for shows and films (The X-Files The Crow, and Tomb Raider to name a few). This is their first set of headliner shows in Australia in a very long time, and it has definitely been too long between visits.
From the alternative style high octane electric driven guitar riffs through to the voracious heavy drums and the heavy industrial style bass lines, teamed with soaring gravelly vocals, Filter brought an absolute maelstrom of sound to blast into our ear drums that left the crowd wanting more and going hard!
Evidencing their insane range of musical talent and abilities as versatile musicians on stage, frontman Richard Patrick had brought all the energy of a thousand burning suns as he sung and screamed his way through the setlist. His voice didn’t falter once between screaming and singing, alternating while still maintaining that same intense passion. The band were loving it and the crowd were too – the front row going off to the music, grinding it into their souls!
A night to remember and a band to catch if you ever have the chance! If you like artists like Rob Zombie, Ministry, Deftones or Soundgarden, you will enjoy Filter and their alternative-rock, industrial-grunge heavy tracks!
Filter continue their tour in Australia and New Zealand as well as Europe and America in 2024.
Set list: You Walk Away, The Drowning, For The Beaten, What Do You Say, Face Down, Trip Like I Do, Obliteration, The Take, Jurassitol, Take A Picture, Captain Bligh, Thoughts and Prayers, Dose, Its Gonna Kill Me, American Cliché, Drug Boy, Welcome To The Fold, Hey Man Nice Shot.
