Nick Cave’s previously announced solo shows at Melbourne’s The Plenary (April 25 and 26) and Sydney’s State Theatre (April 29, 30 and May 5, 6, 7) sold out within days of going on sale in December, with demand for tickets leading to new and final shows added in Sydney at ICC Sydney Theatre on Friday May 3 and in Melbourne at The Plenary on Saturday April 27.
The tour has also been extended to include dates in Wollongong (WIN Entertainment Centre, May 9), Canberra (Royal Theatre, May 10), the Gold Coast (The Star Theatre, May 12) and Brisbane (Great Hall, Convention Centre, May 13).
Nick will be accompanied by Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood on bass guitar.
These are Nick’s only Australian shows in 2024 and tickets are on sale at 10am AEDT on Tuesday January 30 from nickcave.com
The shows follow an acclaimed tour of North America which saw Cave and Greenwood delight fans and media alike with their extraordinary presentation of Cave’s extensive and enduring catalogue.
Nick Cave last toured Australia in late 2022 with Warren Ellis, taking their 2021 album ‘Carnage’ on the road, along with songs from the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds catalogue.
That tour’s three performances at the Sydney Opera House were captured for the luminous new live album, ‘Australian Carnage – Live At The Sydney Opera House’. The album is available now on 8 track vinyl, with an extended streaming version also available.
Perhaps best known as lead singer and songwriter with Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Nick Cave’s artistic output is prolific and ever-evolving. Over a creative career that spans more than 40 years, Cave has worked across a diverse number of disciplines; as a solo and collaborative musician, a score composer, a writer of books, film scripts and his weekly mailer The Red Hand Files, and more recently as a ceramic artist.
