Norwegian blues-rock guitarist TORA DAA Announces New Single ‘Sugar’

After touring in Europe the past year, Norwegian guitar heroine Tora Dahle Aagård and her band TORA DAA are celebrating their international success with a new single release.

The release will be their first in two years – the first single from their upcoming fourth album (scheduled for 2025). Even though it is undoubtedly pop music, Tora leaves the listener with no doubt that her biggest sources of musical inspiration are to be found amongst the old blues and soul legends. As with most of Tora’s music, “Sugar” demonstrates her unique ability to combine old and new, thus creating her very own refreshing, yet timeless sound. “The song is wrapped in a modern rock sound with hints of blues and soul – I’ve even borrowed the phrase “Sugar pie honey bunch” from The Four Tops’ 1965 smash hit “I can’t Help Myself””, Tora comments.

TORA DAA has just returned from a successful full house tour in Sweden. Last year, they went on their first international tour in France and UK, where they captivated the listeners with their powerful live performances:

Tora Dahle Aagård has had an hitherto eventful career: The talented guitarist has performed in London’s Royal Albert Hall, jammed with guitar legends such as Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), Paul Gilbert (Mr Big) and Aaron Sterling (John Mayer). She has even shared the main stage of the world’s biggest virtual guitar festival Guitar.com LIVE with renowned names such as Joe Bonamassa, Carlos Santana, St Vincent and John McLaughlin.

Tora is International Ambassador for Marceau Guitars with her very own limited edition signature guitar models designed for her.
