Our Hollow, Our Home, the esteemed metalcore ensemble from Southampton, UK, has recently endured internal turmoil that led to a division within the group.
Nonetheless, they’ve continued to forge ahead, demonstrating unwavering dedication to their fans and their music.
Their latest single, ‘The Worst In Me’ returns to their roots with a dynamic and intense sound, spotlighting the raw emotional depth and technical prowess that the band is known for. This release is a stark contrast to their more subdued tracks, offering listeners a powerful, cathartic experience that reaffirms their status in the metalcore scene.
The level of relatability, coupled with their relentless touring with the likes of Asking Alexandria and Blessthefall and high profile slots at festivals like Graspop, Nova Rock, Summerblast and Jera On Air, has seen the band command an ever growing army of highly dedicated followers; they have over 79,000 on Spotify, have been viewed over 10 million times on Youtube and have over 29,000 Instagram followers and 107,000 on Facebook and 2017’s debut album »Hartsick« reached the top spot of the Itunes chart for rock and metal in the UK, as well as placing in the top ten in the USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Italy and Germany.
They were also boosted by their hugely popular cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ in 2017, which was picked up by BBC Radio One’s Greg James and subsequently topped the iTunes UK rock and metal chart, and racked up over 300,000 plays on YouTube on its first week of release.
The release of their album »Burn in the Flood« marked a significant milestone. This album encapsulated the band’s evolution with its refined sound that blended melodic elements with their signature hard-hitting metalcore. It included standout tracks like the emotionally charged single ‘In Retrospect’ and the anthemic title track »Burn in the Flood«, showcasing the band’s dynamic range and lyrical depth. The album was well-received, adding significantly to their streaming numbers and earning praise for its production quality and thematic boldness. This release further solidified Our Hollow, Our Home’s position in the metal scene, offering fans both old and new a rich auditory experience that resonated with the challenges and resilience of the human spirit.
