Perth alt-pop punks ColourMind are set to release a brand new single this week, with ‘Love is Blind’ scheduled to drop Friday 5th July. It marks a end of a chapter for the current line-up, with frontman Jimmy J Watson calling time with the band, citing his need for a break from music.
A statement from the band last month read, “It is with heavy hearts, that we announce that our singer and ColourMind brother Jimmy J Watson has decided to end his time with the band. After two solid years of performing, recording and fun times, Jimmy has taken the difficult decision to step away from music for a well-earned break.”
Receiving rave reviews from peers & fans alike, their high-octane, power pop-punk performances have set light to stages across Perth in recent years. Now ColourMind have their hearts firmly set on conquering the rest of the country, with eastern states shows currently being planned and the search for a replacement vocalist well underway.
ColourMind have also reassured their fans by adding, “Although we are saddened by the news, we can assure you that ColourMind will continue, as we look to begin an exciting new chapter.”
