POST HEAVEN Release New Single & Video ‘Far From Me’

Fast-rising Melbourne band Post Heaven reveal their latest single “Far From Me”, out today. The self-produced single jolts listeners between heavy, gut-wrenching riffs and lush, dreamy choruses, creating a modern take on the definitive sounds of early 2000’s alternative metal.

Speaking on the single, vocalist Yasmin de Laine says, “this song is about soul-destroying burnout, working yourself literally sick but unable to escape the cycle, accompanied by the knowledge it’s all pointless and ultimately just an exercise in extreme vanity.”

The single has been unveiled today by the accompanying release of a music video – a surreal nightmare trapped in a desolate hospital providing the backdrop to the soundtrack.

Post Heaven quickly broke onto the scene in 2023 with their debut single “See You At The End”, receiving regular rotation on Triple J’s Short.Fast.Loud and leading to widespread anticipation for their following debut EP “Watch The Framework As It Falls”, released later that year.

“Far From Me” is the group’s latest single following the release of their debut EP. The track was written, performed, recorded, mixed and mastered by Pat Kearney, with vocals and lyrics by Yasmin de Laine.

Following recent performances alongside the likes of Thornhill, Ocean Grove and Greg Puciato, Post Heaven are set to appear at Melbourne’s New Bloom Festival in March 2024, sharing the stage with heavyweights including Citizen, Movements and Touché Amoré.

“Far From Me” is out now and on all major streaming platforms
