UFC 305: Press Conference

Emotions were high during a heated UFC 305 press conference at Perth’s RAC Arena with Israel Adesanya looking visibly shaken by the event’s end. As expected, all eyes were on Adesanya and his opponent, UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis, with Adesanya taking strong umbrage to DDP’s repeated jabs at his supposed privileged upbringing.

Prior to this, ‘motivation’ was certainly the buzzword being thrown around as DDP proclaimed he doesn’t need any added motivation to defend his Middleweight Championship, approaching every title defence in the same way; searching for greatness. Adesanya on the other hand made it very clear that he will source all the motivation he needs in the company he will be keeping on Sunday. The former champ declared, “Fuck the belt, I’m coming for your head” before a powerful mic drop.

Up and down the card, the fighters seemed to be soaking in the energetic reception from the Perth crowd with many of those interviewed expressing the same desire to search for decisive finishes. With manifestations like that, fireworks can safely be expected when it all goes down at UFC 305.
