The Outback Music Festival Group have today announced that their iconic Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash event, Australia’s biggest Outback Music Festival, is on the verge of selling out. Close to 90% of tickets to the all-ages dog friendly camping-based music festival have been snapped up six months before the highly anticipated event is staged on the red earth of the Mundi Mundi Plains from August 21–23, 2025.

The strong demand for tickets underscores the festival’s soaring popularity, as music lovers from across the country prepare to converge on the remote concert space outside of Silverton NSW for three days of world-class performances and fun activities under the vast Outback skies.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our dedicated festival goers.  We know that while the Big Red Bash event is taking a temporary breather this year some of those intrepid travellers are coming to Broken Hill for their annual Bash fix.  We can’t wait to get back out to the Mundi Mundi Plains for an epic party in the Outback with our pop-up city that has a ‘population’ close to the size of Broken Hill itself.  The whole town has embraced us and each year our festival goers have more to experience in the region with businesses organising special activities and promotions in town pre and post the Bash.  It’s wonderful to see all aspects of the event continue to grow,” said Festival owner and Managing Director of the Outback Music Festival Group Greg Donovan.

A powerhouse line-up of Australian talent has been locked in for the 2025 edition, featuring an electrifying mix of rock, pop, country, and alternative music. Among the must-see acts hitting the Outback stage is multi-award-winning artist and ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Missy Higgins, as well as legendary rockers Hoodoo Gurus, The Cat Empire, Birds of Tokyo, The Angels, Kasey Chambers, Kate Ceberano and Leo Sayer.

The bill is stacked with homegrown legends and crowd favourites, ensuring a diverse and dynamic soundtrack to this uniquely Australian festival experience. Fans can expect powerhouse performances from Chocolate Starfish—returning for a record fourth Mundi Mundi Bash—alongside Brad Cox, Rose Tattoo, Ross Wilson, Shannon Noll, Pierce Brothers, Thirsty Merc, Dragon, Mi-Sex, Sarah McLeod, Ziggy – 50 Years of David Bowie starring Iota, Jeff Duff, Steve Balbi and Bryden Stace, 19Twenty, Chantoozies, Caitlyn Shadbolt and Mick Thomas.

Local talent will also hit the main stage, with Leroy Johnson and the Waterbag Band and Tha Boiz bringing their own brand of Outback energy to the festival. Held against the breathtaking backdrop of the Barrier Ranges rising above the Mundi Mundi Plains, the festival offers an unmatched experience where music and the magic of the Outback collide.

With camping under the stars, Mundi Mundi Bash features a jam-packed program of unique outback entertainment and activities – from world record attempts for the ‘Nutbush’ dance, Big Blue Day and ‘Mad Max dress up’, a charity Mundi Undi fun run, through to comedy and outdoor film screenings, scenic helicopter flights, morning yoga, camel rides, dunny door painting, animal petting zoo and more that make it a uniquely Australian destination for music loving families, grey nomads, camping and caravanning enthusiasts and intrepid travellers alike.

The Mundi Mundi Plains setting for the event has a sealed road leading right up to the event site on Belmont Station, with the last remaining kilometres of unsealed roadway set to be bitumened by the NSW Government before the event.
